The Cozy Studio Haven with Free Parking

Very poor service Positive: The only thing this accomodation has going for it is that it's a new build. Negative: Many reasons. 1. After paying a nonrefundable fee we were later charged a $300 damage fee that was not disclosed beforehand. This had to be paid before we were allowed in. We met another customer outside the property that had been waiting for 4 hours because he was locked out due not having a code for the front door lock. When he got in he was in the corridor and we heard him swearing at somebody on the phone about the situation. We assumed it was the managing agent. 2. The agent managing this place needs to be called a number of times before he answers the phone and doesn't have a message bank so a message can't be left. 3. No insulation in the walls so could hear every sound from surrounding rooms and next door. 4. Very little attention paid to the housekeeping- one knife that was blunt in the kitchen, no bath floor mat, no change of towels, a broken basin tap, sofa pushed against the wall front on so it had to dragged back to use it, all cheap appliances and fittings, table jammed in a corner so needed to be pulled out to use it. 5. A smoker in the house next door that's about a metre away so the studio stunk of cigarette smoke, we needed to close the windows. 6. It's in the middle of nowhere no shops, facilities or cafes nearby, there was a train station about 15mins walk away. Generally very poor location and absolutely no attention to detail. Would never stay there gain.

Need a way to contact the owner if one gets locked out. Negative: Insufficient sound proofing between units. Also a barking dog next door. Potential problem with security key particularly when we got locked out if we had not had access to the internet.

A hidden gem. Positive: I loved the common area with washing machine and dryer, plus the size of my area once in there - kitchenette, bedroom and ensuite. I also liked that there was a car park. What I got was great value for money and a wonderful use of shared space. Negative: The only downside was that the carpet smelled off cigarette smoke.

Not value for money and l would not stay there again. Positive: Property itself was okay but very over priced for what it was. Negative: I had lot of trouble getting in the property, it took an hour communicating with the owners via text and email. Once l got to the property l found out l had to pay a bond remotely, then l had to email photo ID to them so could get the exact location and details to get into the room. Then when l received the instructions to get into the property, they did not work, the instructions were very poorly expressed and l feel the printed instructions were out dated. I spent 20 mins communicating with the owners via text and trying different rooms. It’s like a modern boarding house and you have people coming and going all night, very noisy.
